FAQ
Can I bring my own shampoo?
Yes. All dogs are required to be bathed as part of the grooming process. This is not only for the benefit of your pet, but also to not damage the groomer’s equipment. For pets with allergies, skin issues, or other sensitivities, we do offer a medicated soak for an additional fee. Clients are also welcome to provide any vet prescribed medicated shampoos as needed.
Should I tip my groomer?
If you are pleased with the service you have received we encourage you to show your appreciation to your groomer. Tips are never expected but greatly appreciated.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
If it is necessary to cancel your grooming appointment, we do ask you contact the salon as early as possible. Early notification allows us to fill empty appointments with clients on our wait list. Not notifying us causes the groomers to miss out on appointments they could have otherwise filled, and a loss of commission for them. Same day cancellations may be charged a cancellation fee. Payment of the cancellation fee will be due before next appointment is scheduled.
What if my pet bites?
Should your pet show any signs of aggression during the grooming process, we will muzzle your pet for the safety of our staff and the pet. If your pet is showing signs of stress or aggression, we may not be able to complete the groom.
What is an AKC S.A.F.E Groomer & Salon?
AKC S.A.F.E. Groomers have passed the AKC Safety in the Salon course exam and submitted an approved application that details their grooming experience and certifies that they will comply with the requirements of the AKC S.A.F.E. Groomer Program, which includes commitment to a the AKC S.A.F.E. Groomer/Salon Safety Oath.
What if my pet is matted?
Some pets may or may not like being brushed, and if they have mats it can be a time consuming process. Mats that are too close to the skin may need to be cut out for the comfort of your pet. You will always have the opportunity to speak with your groomer when you drop off, but keep in mind there is only so much we can do when a dog or cat has severe matting. If we cannot do what you ask, we will notify you of other options. Pets that require pre-shaving before the bathing process, due to severe matting, will be charged an additional fee of $10.00-20.00.
When should my puppy get their first haircut?
We recommend that puppies receive their first grooming around 16 weeks of age or after their second vaccine series. Typically a puppies first grooming is a bath and brush only. This is to insure the puppies first grooming experience is as short and stress free as possible. Its crucial to introduce puppies to grooming at a young age so they become familiar with the grooming process. This will help them become less fearful in the future.
Can I purchase a gift card for grooming?
Yes! Purchasing a gift card is not only supporting a small local business but is a great gift for someone who can use it to pamper their pet!

Do you offer boarding?
Unfortunately we do not offer boarding. To keep our salon as quiet and stress free as possible we prefer owners to pick up their pet as soon as their grooming session is complete.
